Engineering: "70-80% of jobs will disappear in the next 20 years." I am working my entire life to become a specific job that will disappear in 20 years? The reality of losing my job before even being hired is a scary thought, especially when I don't know what jobs will later be available, and if I'll be prepared/qualified for them in time. Job applications will soon be as packed as the freeways.
English: The job fair, for me, wasn't very useful because I had already picked the people I would hire. I was hoping to see more producers applying for my project, but I had mainly 3D modelers apply. I think the jobs should've had equal amounts of people, to ensure each producer has a programmer, 3D modeler, actor, and/or videographer. I learned to be more open to those wanting to apply, instead of picking my friends. I hope the people I hired will work hard and create the best VR world possible. Project Update: Advertising shapes society in many ways. If clothing magazines show a fit, beautiful model, society conforms to the standards shown. If given stricter regulations, advertisers will find loopholes to show products, with less clear lies and more hidden secrets. Recently, advertisers have been switching words around to say one thing, but mean another. This way they can lie without being blamed. I don't think anything can be done to stop advertising doublespeak.
