Hi, my name is Alison Bell and I am a junior at HTHI. I have a 30 year old brother and a 32 year old sister. My dad owns the San Diego kids fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and my mom is the accounting manager at Junior Achievement of San Diego. When I was 8 years old I moved to San Diego and was introduced to Junior Achievement (JA) by Martha Phillips, who also runs the Point Loma Summer Concerts. I am very excited to intern at JA because I love working with kids. I started babysitting when I was 12 and at the same time, I started as an ambassador for JA. I learned about finances and public speaking and can now represent JA at public/private events. When I was 15, I was hired as a music teacher at RMC. I taught 3-6 year olds to play various instruments every week for three months. I loved this job and was so sad when summer ended, and I had to leave my little superstars. I plan to go to a college in northern California and study primary special education. I would love to become a teacher and even if my plans change, I am excited to work in any career that I am able to help kids learn something new.
