VR Blog
Engineering: On December 3rd, we will be exhibiting our VR worlds to visitors at the STEAM Maker fair. I think we should all have our VR world set up on screens where people can see them, but have a few on their actual devices (ie. google cardboard, vive, oculus) Or, we could take turns having each of our world shown and when people walk up we could tell everyone about what's going on and the original idea etc. I think we should have a small poster that explains the entire project so people walking by can read about the actual project with producers paying employees, instead of waiting for us to be done talking and get to them. I also think we should talk about the posters we made and how they connect to biased information like double speak and what we learned in English.
English: John Dewey believes we should be learning from experience on our own and not from textbook problems. He also says we need to go through trial and error in order to fully understand the solution to a problem. In our VR project, we were given a project theme, but no rules or problems to work off of, so we ran into our own on the way. Instead of learning from a book how to solve the problems, we either learned and worked through it on our own or with our peers, who, eventually, ran into some of the same problems too.
